How to Update Your Flows for the New API Element

In our mission to simplify and improve your experience, we're deprecating the Prompt API and Response API elements in favor of a more efficient API element. This change will take effect in the release following our next one.

Why the Change?

The new API element combines the functionality of both Prompt and Response APIs, making your workflows:

Simpler with fewer components
Easier to manage
More efficient

Your existing workflows will no longer function until updated with the new API element. To ensure your workflows continue working as expected, please follow these steps:

How to Update Your Workflows

Delete both prompt and response

1. 1. Click the three dots ... on the Prompt API element
  2. Click the delete button
  3. Repeat for the Response API element

Add the New API Element

1. 1. Click the Element Drawer at the bottom left of Canvas
  2. Search for and drag the API element onto Canvas

Connect Your Flow

1. 1. Connect the output from the API element to the input of the LLM element
  2. Connect the input of the API element to the output of the LLM element
  3. Click the run button in the top right corner of Canvas

On all versions of the API element 0.1.0, the chat window will appear while the flow is running.

That's it! Your flow is now updated and ready for future releases.
