Clusters Overview
Navigator's Canvas is ideal for designing and testing AI Flows, but these flows only run when Navigator is open on your machine. For production-ready, persistent deployments that continue running regardless of Navigator's status, you'll need to use Clusters.
Clusters enable you to:
- Run AI Flows continuously without keeping Navigator open
- Distribute processing across multiple computers for better performance
- Connect to and manage remote devices from a central interface
- Scale your AI solutions from development to production

Clusters Tab
Cluster Details
1. Cluster Card
All created Clusters are initially displayed in a Cluster Card when viewing the Clusters tab. This Cluster Card gives you a quick overview of the Status, Organization, Controller, Devices, and Deployments running on this particular Cluster. You can click into this card to view the Cluster Details in more depth.
2. Cluster Details
An overview of the Cluster Details are displayed on the Cluster Card initially when you view the Clusters tab. Once you click into the Cluster Card you will be able to view a more in depth look at the specific Devices and Deployments associated with this specific Cluster as shown in the second image above. You also have the ability to add and delete Devices from this specific Cluster.
3. Total Hardware Utilization
This is the total amount of hardware utilization across the entire Cluster. So if you have multiple Nodes/Workers associated with one Cluster you will be able to see the total hardware utilization in the Clusters Tab as well as the Cluster Details.
4. View Filter
The view filter allows you to filter by certain Organizations your Clusters belong to. If you are a Member of several Organizations you should see all of those displayed in this dropdown and can select one to quickly filter to the Cluster Cards associated with that specific Organization.
5. Add Cluster Button
Click the Add Cluster Button to begin building a new Cluster. You should see the below modal appear. We will go into more detail on hosting and joining a new cluster in this article.
6. Devices & Deployments Toggle
This toggle allows you to see which Nodes, Input Devices, and Deployments are currently being utilized by a specific Cluster.
Host or Join a New Cluster
There are two ways to gain access to a new Cluster. You can either host a new Cluster or join an existing Cluster. Below we will go through each of the options and what the process looks for both!
Host a New Cluster
- On the Clusters tab click Add Cluster
-
You will see the below modal appear. Click Host a New Cluster → Next
If you have only one device connected (your MacBook for example) you will not be able to create a new Cluster as you can only host one Cluster per device
-
This is where you will be able to Name your Cluster as well as provide a Description of this Cluster.
- Provide a Name and a Description (optional) for this Cluster and click Create.
- You should now see a Cluster Card created on the Clusters tab.
- Click into the Cluster Card to view the Cluster Details.
-
Under the Devices Nodes tab click Add Node and you should see the below modal appear.
-
Choose the Node you would like to add to this Cluster.
If you don't see your device or need to add a new device as mentioned above, verify that Worker Mode is enabled in the device's copy of Navigator, then try again. For more information see our My Devices Overview.
- Once you select the Node you would like to add to this Cluster click Next.
-
You will see the below modal. Enter a Computer Nickname → click Add.
This Computer Nickname is different from a Device Name. Adding a Computer Nickname here on the Clusters tab will not change the Device Name in the My Devices tab. One Device can have multiple Nicknames per Cluster.
-
If you need to add more than one Node to your Cluster repeat steps 6-10. Click the New button in the top right of the Cluster Details page to add a new Node.
You have now created a Cluster to send your Deployments to! Review the Next Steps at the bottom of this article for information on creating Flows and how to Deploy those flows.
Join an Existing Cluster
- On the Clusters tab click Add Cluster
-
You will see the below modal appear. Click Join an Existing Cluster → Next
-
If a Cluster is hosted by an Organization you are a Member of you will see those Clusters appear. Select the Cluster you would like access to → Send Request
